Here is a nice sounding - but easy to play - jazz guitar intro. 

Once you get these two descending shapes down, it is easy to tweak and adjust this as needed.  Try starting it at different places on the neck and experiment with it. 

Just make the last chord you land on the FIVE chord of the key for the song you are playing and use it to lead into the tune.
